Once watercolor painting was introduced to me, I became passionately drawn to the process. I was told it was one of the most difficult mediums to master. My educational history had already included many arts and crafts, such as sewing, weaving, drawing, pen and ink, acrylics, pottery and wood working. I had found my niche with painting in watercolor.
Through determination over the years my skills in watercolor painting developed. It was further encouraged by taking workshops and classes from many gifted watercolor painters in the Northwest including; Jan Kunz, Susan McKinnen Rasmussen, and Barbara Nechis, and Jean Haines. Much of my inspiration has come from the garden, forest, viewing wildlife while hiking the northwest. |
